Jason Reilly Principal Dancer Jason Reilly was born in Toronto, Canada. He was trained at the National Ballet School in Toronto and, even as a student, danced in ballets such as The Nutcracker and Pastorale (James Kudelka) and inspired several choreographers to create roles for him in other ballet works, such as Glen Gilmour in Boys Dance, John Neumeier in Yondering and David Nixon in Sudden Impulse. He became a member of the Stuttgart Ballet after his graduation in 1997 and was promoted to a Demi-Soloist in 2001/02 and to a Soloist one season later. The 2003/2004 season sees Jason Reilly as the Principal Dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet. His repertoire of leading roles with the Stuttgart Ballet includes Brighella in Pierrot Lunaire (Glen Tetley), 3rd movement of Symphony in C (George Balanchine), Colas in La fille mal gardée (Sir Frederick Ashton), Basilio in Don Quijote (Maximiliano Guerra), the role of Gaston in John Neumeier’s The Lady of the Camellias as well as Benvolio and Romeo in John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet.
